Ashley and Chris’ wedding took place in December. Their ceremony was held at the incredibly beautiful St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood, Indiana.
For some reason, I really like this motion shot of Ashley (or at least her feet!) on the way to the church for the ceremony. I like that you can see her shoes in motion and the dress kind of picked up and flowing behind her. Kind of fun!
Rajeev got some great shots during the ceremony, including the next 3. I had to include them here! By the way, isn’t the church amazing?
Ashley and Chris had such a fun wedding party - everyone was great to work with! I really like the candid shot below taken as everyone was laughing and having fun in the midst of the formal portraits, and the one of Ashley and her bridesmaids laughing too!
The reception took place at Camp Kikthawenund, in Frankton, Indiana. The hall where it was held had tons of windows, a fireplace, and a very cozy feeling. Chris and Ashley wanted to do a few photos outside on the huge porch that stretched along the front of the reception hall. They braved the cold without blinking an eye, and I was so excited that they were up for it!
Weren’t their flowers gorgeous?? So were their rings!
Congratulations, Ashley and Chris!! We loved working with you!

Sometimes things are a little crazy around our house, especially now that there is less than a month left to get everything done that I need to finish before our 2nd baby arrives! Our little Arya will be three in just a couple of weeks. She is such a helper, and she loves being at a stage where she feels like she is a big girl and can do lots of things by herself. One thing she probably shouldn’t do by herself is apply lotion!!
She was playing just a little too quietly for a little too long while I was cleaning up the house the other day. She soon emerged from the other room asking if I needed some lotion because she had too much! I was imagining a little extra on her hands, but instead I saw this:
Evidently, if you have extra lotion, it is fine to just apply it anywhere possible - including your hair! I had to snap a couple of quick shots before we washed it all out! It was too funny! You’ll notice she is putting her chin really low in these photos. When I asked her why, she explained that it was so I could see the lotion in her hair in the pictures!! (With that much, I don’t think there was a way you could have not seen it!)
To close, I’ll add this post of Arya trying to look oh-so-serious!
Ah, the adventure that little ones bring to everyday life!!

Ashley and Chris had a beautiful winter wedding, but before I post those photos here, I thought I’d take you back and show a few favorites from their engagement session! We did the session on a beautiful summer day when everything was green and vibrant!! I am so glad to live in a place where we have changing seasons!! I love having a little snow in the winter, but I’m looking forward to spring, summer, and fall too!
One thing that I really enjoyed while working with Ashley and Chris was watching them having fun together. I think you can tell by their photos that they definitely put smiles on each other’s faces!!
Stay tuned for photos from Ashley and Chris’ wedding very soon!!

We offer a variety of albums. It is hard to describe an album via email or over the phone, and often a good amount of time passes between when we initially meet with a couple (and they see samples) and when they decide on their album selection details after the wedding. I decided it would be a good idea to feature a few of the album styles that we offer here on the blog, and put up some detail shots so that it is easier to remember which styles are which!
Today we’re featuring our matted album. Timeless and classic, each photograph in the matted album is lacquered and hand mounted into a fitted frame. Hundreds of page layout options are available. Each album features thick, sturdy pages and a beautiful leather cover.
Each album comes wrapped in a soft, cloth “pillowcase” (seen below) and is delivered in a presentation box (seen above) for protection.
Matted albums can be imprinted with up to 2 lines of text. Imprinting color options include: black, white, silver, gold, or branded (blind embossed). Silver imprinting is seen below.
Pages feature gilded edges and rounded corners. Gilding is available in black, silver, or gold.
Albums are beautifully bound and lie flat when opened for easy viewing.
A small border surrounds each photo when it is matted into your album. Border color options include black, white, silver, or gold.
The matted album is beautifully crafted and a great way to display your images for years to come.
