Gwen and Terry are getting married in September at Oakhurst Gardens in Muncie. We had planned to do a winter engagement session at the gardens, but snowstorms forced us to postpone every time we tried. (We thought it would be neat to have the engagement and wedding photos in the same location during completely different seasons!) We finally found a date that fit Gwen and Terry’s very busy schedules this spring, and at the last minute nearly had to postpone again due to forecasts of rain. We decided to give it a try anyway, and I’m so glad that we did! The weather turned out to be PERFECT!

Gwen and Terry really wanted mostly black and white photography However, with the amazing spring greens and yellows, I had to include some color photos in addition to their black and white ones!!

I can’t choose between color and black and white on the photo below. The black and white one seems to have this very serene quality to it that I really like, but I love the vibrance of the color one!! Oh well, I’m putting them both on here. Which do you like better?

If you guessed Disney World, you are right! I had been planning to go to a lighting workshop, and one of the locations it was being held in was Florida. So, we decided to go down a little early and turn the trip into a little vacation! Thanks to my fabulous parents and their willingness to go to two separate time share presentations (!!) we got our hotel for an amazing deal! We had a great time.

I’ll be posting some images from the workshop soon, and I’m very excited to try out some of the new lighting tips and tricks that I learned over the weekend! I’ll also try to catch up on all of the projects I’ve worked on lately that have not yet made it onto the blog! Until then, here are a couple of Arya’s favorite moments:
