When I first met with Lucas and Celeste, they told me about their idea to do engagement pictures in the snow with the horses out at Lucas’s family’s horse farm. I loved the idea from the start, and we’ve just been waiting for the necessary snow to make it happen! Last week we finally got our chance and we had so much fun! Thanks, Lucas and Celeste, for going along with everything I asked you to do (without an ounce of complaining) despite the VERY COLD temperatures! Also thanks to Lucas’s grandma for the coffee that helped us warm up!
Lucas and Celeste, I can’t wait for your wedding!

This sweet little baby boy is Silas, who was 5 weeks old at the time of our session. Here he is in his daddy’s arms.
Look at those blue eyes!!
Silas’s big brother Luca also jumped in for a few pictures. Here is a photo of the two boys together…Luca was so sweet with his new baby brother!
And before I end this post, I’ll add in a couple of shots from the maternity session I did with Silas and Luca’s mom, Maria, just 3 days before Silas was born! Isn’t she beautiful?

Recently, I had the opportunity to do a session with 5 month old Israel and his family!
Israel’s mom made the beautiful quilt that he is lying on in the picture above. We thought using it as a background for some of the photos would be such a great way to remember it!
It was especially neat to get to take some pictures of not only Israel’s immediate family, but four generations of his family! Here he is with his mom, grandma, and great grandma!
Thanks to the whole family for being so great to work with!!

Anderson just turned one! It is hard to believe that just a year ago I was doing his newborn photos. And only a few weeks before that, I was doing maternity photos of his beautiful mom, Jeanette! Anderson is growing into such a great little guy! Here are a few pics from our session.
He looks so grown up in that first picture!
And just in case you’re wondering what he looked like when he was tiny, here is one of my favorite photos from his newborn session. (He was 12 days old!)
PS - The decorative papers hanging in the background of a few of the shots were created by friends and relatives at Anderson’s first birthday party. Each person designed and cut one (similarly to the way you cut paper snowflakes), and wrote a special note on the back for Anderson. His mom strung them together, creating a fun and unique way to remember everyone who was there to celebrate with them. Isn’t that a creative idea?!
