Meet Ann and Will.  They are a fabulous couple, and they’re getting married in an outdoor ceremony in September that I’m very excited about photographing.  Ann and Will met at Purdue University, and since Purdue’s campus held so many memories for them, they decided that it would be the perfect spot for doing their engagement session.

Ann and Will wanted to make sure we got in a few photos with the beautiful Purdue Bell Tower in the background! (And you can’t even tell that the whole area at the base of the tower was fenced off for repairs and surrounded by all sorts of construction, can you?!!)

I love trying to capture the interactions between people that really show how they feel about each other.  Little looks between two people when they aren’t paying attention to me or to the camera usually give this away the most.  When I was going through and editing Ann and Will’s photos, I saw those looks again and again.  I think these two make each other pretty happy…wouldn’t you agree?

Just a note…Ann and Will got engaged just a few feet from the spot where we took these photos!!  Will proposed on graduation day as soon as the ceremony was over!  They say the end of one thing is the beginning of something new, right?  Well, I think that this was the case for his graduation day, don’t you think?!

We had a great time photographing Janelle and Kevin’s wedding last weekend, but I wanted to be sure that I put a few of their engagement photos up on the blog while I’m working on editing the wedding!!  Janelle and Kevin were looking for a place to do their engagement session near their homes, and Oliver Winery in Bloomington turned out to be a perfect location!!  When Janelle and I first met, she mentioned that she and Kevin didn’t really LOVE being photographed, and that as a result they didn’t have many pictures of the two of them together!  So, she wanted to make sure that we changed that!!  We had fun wandering the beautiful grounds at Oliver Winery, and came away with some fun photos of Janelle and Kevin together.

This first one is my favorite simply because of the sweet look they’re giving each other!!

Janelle and Kevin, thanks for being great to work with both for your engagement session and for your wedding!  Best wishes for a lifetime of happy years together!!

I met up with Katie and Dustin recently to do their engagement session at Minnetrista Cultural Center here in Muncie.  We nearly got rained out, but we held off postponing in hopes that the evening would be rain-free!  So many times days that have been rainy can bring evenings that are simply amazing with soft light!  This was the case the day of our session, and though it was a rainy morning, the evening was perfect!!

After spending a little time at Minnetrista, we headed over to the nearby Delaware County Fairgrounds, where we found some really great places to shoot.

I love Katie’s laugh in the one below on the right!!

I’m so glad we made it over to this fabulous red barn because I think it makes a great backdrop!

Shannon and Mark are such a fun couple, and when we got together to do their engagement session, I absolutely loved watching them laugh together.  Their wedding is coming up in July, and we wanted to get their engagement session in while Shannon was in town recently for the weekend.  The forecast kept changing and we weren’t sure if we were going to get any dry weather to work with, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day with perfect, soft light!!  We headed out to Minnetrista Cultural Center and Oakhurst Gardens and had a great session!!  Here are some of my favorites…
